Hello friends!
Let's catch up. I managed to find some free time to read the play "The Wolves" by Sarah DeLappe. This is an incredible & moving piece, & I hope to see it performed live in the future.
This play follows a team of soccer players all finishing up high school & looking towards college. The scenes are set during their pre-game warmups, & they keep a constant dialogue going on as they're observing the world around them. It's a phenomenal script reflecting on women growing into themselves & their changing relationships with each other.
I feel that this show would be incredibly effective performed in the round, & is a great choice for any theatre looking to have a decent sized show with a younger, all-female cast.
I think I might have to direct The Wolves someday... Fingers crossed I'll get that opportunity.
If you have any good book recommendations for me, or just general comments or suggestions, please send them my way! I truly love & appreciate all feedback.
Slainté!
Kathleen 💛
